Iraq Combat Army Veteran Ti’Phani Nicole knows a thing or two about getting her hands dirty with the guys. After serving a tour in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003), personal journal entries compelled her to write about the female soldier experience during wartime. The triumphs and downfalls that came with her experience led her to start a movement—She Went, Too—highlighting the often-overlooked females who went to war and served during the tough times to protect our great country.
Ti’Phani Nicole encourages women and men, active military and veterans, to join her on a journey to showcase the role of the female soldier, past and present. She currently works as a government contractor on assignment in Qatar, which is in a time zone eight hours ahead of the U.S. In her spare time, she indulges her entrepreneurial spirit and her first love, fashion and fragrance. In 2021, she created her first unisex fragrance, POET, and has a series of female-focused military books planned for 2025. While stateside, she resides in Friendswood, Texas, with her family.
